Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins (or drilled holes in them if you're Landon) again this year as a family. Landon also got to use glitter paint to decorate his pumpkin. Mommy got to use the glitter paint to decorate Daddy. In an effort to unplug the tip of the glitter pen, I squeezed too hard and shot purple glitter into Curt's eye and all over his face. I was laughing so hard I cried, and Curt's eye cried because it had so much purple glitter in it. Landon watched the whole event take place and calmly looked at me and said, "Mommy, Now say sorry to Daddy." I tried but I was laughting too hard. We found purple glitter dried on our walls days later. It was the best pumpkin carving/decorating ever. At least I thought so.

Happy Halloween!

May the Force be with you. We went trick or treating with our usual group plus the cousins. The kids did great and were all so cute. Landon was so excited to be Luke Skywalker jet wing fighter and Grayson was a huge hit as Yoda.

Sweet Baby Gray

I love this little face.

Giggs

Giggs was our first baby. We love that he is a part of our family and so good with the other babies that eventually came along. Landon and Grayson cannot get enough of Giggs. Landon has started going out back to play with the dog and Grayson is always trying to get to Giggs. When he can't get Giggs he will play with his stuffed dog. The dog he is playing with was part of my dog thearpy. Before we got married Curtis used to buy me stuffed animal dogs and get me cards with dogs on them in hopes that I would eventually like dogs and want to own one. I grew up terrified of dogs and never wanted one but Curt's plan worked. We got Giggs 5 years ago and I cannot imagine our home without him. I especially cannot imagine my boys growing up without a dog. I captured some fun snuggles of the boys and Giggs. No dog thearpy will be needed for them. They are hooked.

The Boys!

Bathtime, Rock'n Out, MoHawks, and Jammies. The boys are so much fun.

Hay!

Fog Willow Pumpkin Patch

Our third annual trip to Fog Willow. We now have two members in the "Litttle Pickers" club. We had a great time with our cousins and friends. We plan on going again this year since it is free for the month. The boys had a great time and looked so cute with all those orange pumpkins.

7 Months Old

Time flys. I cannot believe we are starting the second half of Grayson's 1st year. Better get going on his scrapbook!

Preschool

Landon started homeschool preschool with Aunty Amy in early September. She is an awesome teacher and he loves all the great things he learns from her. He has Bible class, Science, and also colors, numbers, and letters. He comes home and tells me all about our Solar System and is excited to learn his memory verse for the week. ( I have to look stuff up on the computer because his science knowledge has already surpased my memory of it). He also gets to be included in the home school charter school and go to preschool classes on Friday.

Friday, September 17th he got to go to preschool with his little class. We went out on Thursday night and bought him his own backpack and lunch bag. I can hardly take it. He looks like a huge backpack with legs from the back. As we were standing in line a woman asked him if he was starting school. He excitedly told her he was going to preschool the next day and then he was going to high school after that. She laughed at his school plan. She then asked him what were going to be his favorite parts of school. Without missing a beat he stated, " My favorite part of school is going to be lunch and playtime." And so it begins.

6 Months and Sitting Up!

Dear Grayson,

You are six months old this month. I know I have only known you a short while, but I have loved you my whole life. You have such a sweet little spirit and are such a mover and shaker at the same time. I cannot believe how much you have already changed and I look forward to watching you grow up. We love you so much sweet baby.
Love, Mommy

Playmates

Grayson lights up when Landon is around. Landon has been such a kind and gentle big brother. He is helpful and sweet to our little Grayson. They are interacting and playing with each other more and more every day. As I was capturing their pajama wrestling play Landon said, "Mom, take a picture of me with my best friend." I am so honored to watch their relationship develop. I can only hope to hear those same words years from now. If they only knew the treasure they have in each other.

This little piggy...

Grayson has discovered his favorite pass time. He sucks on his toes whenever he can. If he is not sucking on them then he is trying to suck on them. If he cannot get to them (like in the car seat) then he is kicking his feet back and forth as fast as he can and watching them intently. He cracks us up with his toes.
