Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Landon woke up Christmas morning saying two words: Santa? Presents? He was precious running down the hallway and seeing the presents under the tree for the first time. Landon loved opening all the presents and at times could not decide which one to play with first. He got his very own tractor and loved riding around Grammie and Pop Pop's yard. We left for Arizona on the 26th to visit the Holmes family and Landon got to help drive the golf cart. It was his new favorite word and activity. When we got back home the boys put together Landon's new tool bench. He now walks around the house with his screw driver and says "Fix da toys."We rang in the new year at home and feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. We hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Timber

We headed up the hill for our annual Christmas tree cutting and Christmas card picture. The boys enjoyed playing in the dirt and looking at the tractor and train. Landon helped Curtis cut the tree down this year. Someday he will get to do it himself. We all left with beautiful trees, candy canes from Santa, and lots of dirt. See picture of Cameron.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Landon was so excited to see his Colorado Cousins. The kids were ready to go.

Disneyland here we come.

Landon's first ride. The Teacups.

It's a Small World was all decorated for Christmas. Landon was in awe.

We could not help but laugh. He is covering his eyes in Pirates of the Caribbean, but still looking through his fingers.

Watching the parade.

Landon was so great the whole day. He had no nap and was up way past bedtime. We watched the fireworks and walked out under to Disneyland snow. It truly was magical. Landon woke up the next morning and said in a very concerned voice, "Where Disneyland go?"

We Are Thankful For

We are thankful for our first Thanksgiving at the Newest Holmes household. We are thankful for our family. We are thankful for our little eater. We are thankful for Spray 'n Wash that can be bought in bulk. We are thankful for our friends who are like family. We are thankful for not having to visit the emergency room despite the fact that standing on the arm of a chair usually makes you fall. We are thankful for God's many blessings.

First Haircut

Well, the day finally came. The deal in the Holmes house was that when Landon started running, it would be time for his first haircut. He was great and looks so grown up with his big boy haircut. I did good and didn't cry, but was again reminded of how fast he is growing up. My baby is turning into a big boy and even has his own hair gel now.

We hope you had a Roar'n Halloween!

Landon loved trick or treating, especially the large sugar cookie he got from one house. He happily walked down the street saying "ding dong". Our little lion was very cute. Curtis and I wore skeleton t-shirts and went as the lion's leftovers. A friend said, " Well, that is pretty accurate of toddlers. They usually chew you up and spit you out."

Apple Hill and Pumpkin Patch

Landon took his first trip to Apple Hill and got to stand on a tractor and take his first pony ride. He loved the tractor and asked for more when the pony ride was over. Both were big hits. We then went to the pumpkin patch and spent most of the day convincing Landon that the pumpkins were not orange balls and should not be kicked or thrown. He was not convinced.
