Landon's First Kayot Ride!

Landon had his first ride out on the kayot. It is the same boat that my brother's and I used to nap in the pack'n play on when we were little. I have many great family memories on the boat and was excited to introduce Landon to the adventures on Folsom lake. He was in love. He woke up the next morning and asked when we were going on the boat again.

Say Cheese!

We had a wonderful time in Wisconsin with the Enns Family. Landon and his cousins had a blast together and Landon enjoyed being a big boy. He and Eli are only a year apart and played much better together this year. The cutest thing was the singing they did together. Eli would sing "Who let the Dogs Out?" and Landon would follow him around saying "Ruff, Ruff". It was precious. We are waiting for the rest of the pictures to come from Aunt Amy.

We are here! I am finally updating the blog. Sorry for all of you who have been checking. Here is what our little guy has been up to for the last few months.

Landon got a new backpack in January. He got it out and wanted us to fill it with books. I asked him where he was going and he told me "I go to school with mommy". Someday little man.

Coloring Easter Eggs. It was fun once we convinced him the Easter Bunny would NOT come to his house. When he saw the Easter Bunny at the mall he had flash backs of Santa and started to cry. I unfortunatley mentioned the "EB" prior to coloring eggs and he fell apart. This is an "after we have calmed down" picture. We ended up in at the doctors on Easter because Landon was sick. It turned out to be just a virus. Hence the binki and the blanket in the Easter Basket photo.

Snow

We loaded up the car and headed up the hill to let Landon play in the snow. He was thrilled once he figured out how to walk in the snow. Poor thing was so layered he had a hard time getting up once he fell down.

There is nothing like playing in snow for the first time. Our favoite quotes of the day were:
"Bucket Please" and "More snow man please."

Happy 2 Landy Boo!

Happy Birthday! The day finally arrived. I, Sam, made the mistake of telling Landon he was going to have a birthday party and cupcakes a few days before the big day. I was trying to get him excited, but instead made every morning up to his birthday a disappointment. He would look up each day with hope in his eyes and say "happy day Lanny, cupcake?" I was glad to finally say to him, "Yes, today is your party and you get to eat your cake."
Landon had a construction birthday party for the big 2. He and his friends decorated hard hats. Even the girls wore hard hats adorned with orange bows. He was showered with lots of love and presents. Two things all two year olds love. He had his very own tractor cake and enjoyed doing his own construction on it. We got him his first bike and helmet. He was so excited. I can report now, three weeks later, he mostly likes to walk around with just the helmet. If is rather hilarious.

Cookies!

Landon got a new apron for Christmas and we decided to put it to good use. He helped make oatmeal cookies with cranberries and white chocolate chips. He loved pouring the ingredients into the mixer and measuring the flour and oatmeal. The best part was watching his face light up when he got to watch the cookies bake in the oven. He yelled "Ready!"

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Landon woke up Christmas morning saying two words: Santa? Presents? He was precious running down the hallway and seeing the presents under the tree for the first time. Landon loved opening all the presents and at times could not decide which one to play with first. He got his very own tractor and loved riding around Grammie and Pop Pop's yard. We left for Arizona on the 26th to visit the Holmes family and Landon got to help drive the golf cart. It was his new favorite word and activity. When we got back home the boys put together Landon's new tool bench. He now walks around the house with his screw driver and says "Fix da toys."We rang in the new year at home and feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. We hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
